Aegina Town Walking Tour
Walk through the town with a local! (90 minutes, up to 8 people)
Join me on a stroll around the beautiful town of Aegina while hearing about Aegina's history, customs, culture, way of life and traditions. Learn all about Aegina's famous pistachio nuts and even sample a few.
Aegina has been my home for over 20 years and I love sharing interesting, funny and fascinating information and stories that I've heard from local friends and family.
We'll meet at Aegina's tiny landmark church dedicated to Saint Nicholas, who is Greece's patron saint of sailors.
Our walk will take us through shaded, picturesque streets, past a local gallery, boutique shops, local olive oil supplier, antique shops and craft workshop to a historical landmark, the Tower of Markello.
Discover the house of modern day Greece's first governor, Jannis Kapodistrias and learn how he made a positive impact on Aegina. Hear the fascinating story of Aegina's beautifully built stone orphanage
Try locally grown pistachios and hear about the history of these tasty nuts.
